The next generation in CNC beam drilling and sawing machines has arrived with the new Daito CSD3C carbide drill and GTR servo bandsaw. This new series incorporates a completely new design and hosts many new features that will further enhance Daito's reputation as the world leading manufacturer of CNC machine tools for the steel construction industry.

DRILL + SAW = TRUE TANDEM

This is truly a tandem cell in which simultaneous drilling and sawing is a fact not just a claim. Competitor's cells or tandem systems cannot actually drill and saw simultaneously because their drill spindles cannot move in all three directions. Since the Daito spindles all move independently in three directions the drill continues to work while the saw is cutting.

CARBIDE DRILLING

To accomplish the significant breakthrough in carbide drilling technology Daito CSD3C had to design an extraordinary machine with uncommon rigidity so that the vibration that destroys carbide bits is minimised. They put special 20 HP spindle motors on the three independent drill spindles to provide the power, spindle speed and smoothness required for this machine. Drill feed rate, pressure and speed are automatically determined by the sophisticated CNC controls.

HIGH SPEED BAND SAW

The new GTR series saw includes latest innovations like the ball screw, servo drive design coupled with linear guide ways for smooth operation. By not having to use the hydraulic cylinder to control the feed rate like other manufacturers, this revolutionary Daito design offers the best possible control and the results are faster, more accurate cutting and prolonged blade life.

INDEPENDENT TRAVELLING DRILLS

Each of the 3 drill heads travel independently in all directions allowing all holes within range to be drilled without continually re-index and re-clamp the workpiece. This also brings accuracy of hole to hole dimension and higher productivity.

POSITIONING COMPENSATION

The workpiece positioning error caused by inertia is compensated by the positioning of each drill.

4 SIDE SCRIBING

Layout marking is performed by individual scribing tools on all four faces (3 axes simultaneously). The workpiece is stationary for maximum reliability.

FLANGE SUPPORTS

This prevents flange movement caused by the force of the top drill and therefore prevent damage to the flange drill bits.

WEB SUPPORTS

Web supports prevent thinner webs from bending under the pressure of drilling. This feature reduces drill bit failure and improves hole quality.

DOUBLE MITRE CUTTING

Miter cut left and right. The machine fully controlled by the CNC and will automatically rotate to the correct angle.

OPTIMISED CUTTING

Both the blade speed and feed rate are in database and will automatically adjust itself according to the profile. The servo feed control allows for the most effective cutting condition with the machine constantly reading the cutting resistance from the blade.

CHIP CONVEYOR

The raker type chip conveyor endlessly rakes chips out while allowing cutting fluid to drain back into the reservoir.

SAW FRAME LINEAR GUIDES

The saw frame travels up and down on linear guides reducing friction and making for a more smooth and accurate blade feeding.

MACHINE SHIFT

The machine automatically shifts down and slightly away from the feeding workpiece to avoid any possible collision or damage to the structure of the saw.

CHIP SWEEPER

Built up chips accumulated during carbide drilling are effectively swept away from the workpiece.

CNC CONTROL

Anybody can operate our user friendly CNC controlled machines. The intelligent CNC takes all the worries and hard work out of programming.
